Somebody at the door when it matters
Meet and greet, key handover, in-stay response, problematic guest escalation and a shared block list — for the properties and the guests where a lockbox and a message thread is not enough.

When in-person arrival pays for itself
Self check-in is the right default for most stays. It stops being the right default on higher-value properties, with first-time international arrivals, on corporate and relocation bookings where somebody else is paying and expectations are hotel-shaped, on group bookings where house rules need saying out loud, and in buildings where the access route genuinely confuses people. In those cases the greeting is not a courtesy, it is risk management.
What we do
- Meet and greet at arrival, inside an agreed window
- Key, fob and access handover, including building and parking access
- Property walkthrough: appliances, air conditioning, wi-fi, house rules
- Local orientation — transport, food, the things guests ask every time
- In-stay response, including attending the property where needed
- Problematic guest escalation — noise, over-occupancy and damage attended, documented and escalated to you
- Block list — guests who have caused problems are flagged across every property you run with us
- Departure check where you want one
Guest messaging
Where you want it, Opera can run guest communication as well as physical attendance. We work in Duve day to day and can operate inside your own stack. Messaging pairs naturally with attendance, because the person answering the question is connected to the person who can go and solve it.
What this is not
Opera does not take over your listing, your pricing or your channel management, and does not charge a percentage of your revenue. If you want somebody to run the commercial side of your property, we are not that company — and we will happily say so rather than sell you something that does not fit.

A greeting is risk management, not a courtesy
On a standard stay a smart lock is enough. On a corporate relocation, a first-time international arrival, a group booking or a confusing building, the twenty minutes a person spends at the door prevents the noise complaint, the lost key, the wrong apartment, and the review that starts with “nobody was there”.
Our teams present under your brand, cover several community languages, and document every attendance so you have a record if a stay goes wrong.
Guest service questions
Do you replace self check-in?
No, we complement it. Smart locks work well for most arrivals. In-person greeting earns its cost on higher-value properties, first-time international guests, corporate and relocation stays, group bookings, and any building where access is genuinely confusing.
What hours do you cover?
Operations run seven days. Arrival windows outside standard hours, including late-night flights, are available and priced accordingly.
Can you handle guest messaging as well?
Yes, either as a monthly service across your portfolio or attached to individual properties. We work in Duve and can operate inside your own messaging stack where you have one.
Will you deal with a difficult guest?
Yes. Noise complaints, unauthorised gatherings, over-occupancy and damage in progress are exactly the situations where somebody physically attending matters. We attend, document, and escalate to you with the record you need for a platform claim.
Do you speak languages other than English?
Our field teams cover several community languages. Tell us your guest mix and we will match where we can.
